Musings of the Other Mother

About

I’m in my late 20s and waited more than a few years after high school to attend college. I graduated in May 2007 with a BS in Chemistry-Environmental option and a Biology minor. In addition to my academic studies, I have been studying Judaism with hopes to eventually convert. I’d also like to learn American Sign Language in my non-existent free time.

I’m currently working as a Research & Development Chemist in the textile industry.

My girl & I have been together for nearly 10 years. We recently got married on the 10 year anniversary of the day we met. We share a home with our four furry kids: 2 cats named Silas & Puck and 2 Beagles named Hamlet & Kara. We’re trying to start a human family. We were using a known donor and doing home inseminations. Our donor decided it wasn’t for him and R lost her health insurance. We’re switching uteri and will start trying with frozen chromosomes and my uterus in December. Hopefully things will pick up and we’ll have a pregnancy to talk about incessantly.

I’m not sure how I ended up here in my internet travels but just thought I’d leave a comment. Best wishes on your journey to become parents!

Great site – and I wish you two the best of luck in your quest.

I don’t know anything about it, but if you get desperate for a donor, my ex and I successfully made a beautiful (and very smart) little girl over 4 years ago. I need to fix the pics, but will do shortly – http://www.JackieKennedy.biz. I could be willing to help.

My hope for you is that everything works out perfectly.
