I left work early today. I’m sick. I’ve had a low-grade fever since Sunday morning. It was over 101 Saturday night but since then has been hovering just below 100. I have a sore throat, headache, general stuffiness and no energy. I don’t normally leave work unless I’m really really sick but I had a lot of technical writing to do today and I couldn’t concentrate enough to form well thought out sentences; words were just on the tip of my tongue, things weren’t making sense when I reread them, equation editor was out to get me, etc.
I hope this doesn’t kill my chances of getting knocked up.

We insemmed last night. I woke up in the middle of the night with a fever. I don’t know if it was related at all. We were both sick Friday night so it may have been a remanant of that. I’m pretty sure I ovulated this morning and I’ve been crampy all afternoon.
Our past waits have been overshadowed by a vacation, a death in the family, graduation, and a move and all went by very quickly. We have nothing to distract us during this one so I expect it to be excruciating.

I gave myself the shot last night. It didn’t hurt until this morning. I was told it was a subcutaneous injection and the powdered medicine that I had to mix said intramuscular. I hope that’s OK and doesn’t cause a problem. My os was slightly open last night, a bit more open this afternoon. We’re going to check it again tonight and, based on what we see, inseminate tonight or in the morning.

My E 2 was 231pg/mL. Tr!gger tomorrow night. They suggested insem 30 hours post injection with frozen. Does that sound right? Anyone have convincing arguments for different timing?
The Man in a Can is on the truck for delivery. Hopefully he will be there to greet me when I get home from work.

Right ovary: 8 7-9mm follicles
Left ovary: 4 7-9mm follicles and 1 18mm follicle
I should have my E 2 level after lunch and be given time for trigger but the nurse guessed tomorrow night.
I know the little ones are useless but at least I have one! I was so scared I was going to go in and be told that nothing was happening. I haven’t really had any side effects. My skin’s broken out but that can be explained by a bad wax job that I got in CA and my nether region has been itchy but that’s to be expected as I’ve recently had a haircut
I was concerned that if I wasn’t a bitch then nothing was happening.

I was able to get an acupuncture appointment for Friday. The only slot he had available was in the afternoon and I’ll have to leave work early. He is going to call his 5:45 to see if the patient would switch since with me I will already be missing work the day before for the ultras0und. How great is my acupuncturist?!
Does anyone have any timing suggestions? I’m going to ask the R E for his suggestion but I value your opinions too. How many hours post tr!gger should I insem? We’re doing one home insem with frozen. It’s washed but we’re not doing I U I at home.

We’re going for it. Swimmers ordered and should be arriving next Thursday. Ultrasound same day and they’ll let me know when to trigger. This is really happening!

Today is CD 1. It seems the universe has made a decision for us. There’s no way to do an insem with S this month. Business trips & vacations took care of that. We can’t get an appointment with the lawyer where we will both be in town before I would have to insem this month. As much as I trust him, I don’t want to start shooting up his swimmers without a mutually agreed upon donor agreement in place.
I still have until close of business tomorrow to have the spermcicles shipped and not have to pay the expedited fee to get it here in time. We’re still debating. I have my prescriptions filled and will be taking my Cl0.mid with me on my business trip in case I need to start taking it Wednesday night. I’d have my ultrasound next Thursday to see how things look in there.

When I was at the R E Monday he did some blood work and I got the results yesterday. Everything was better than expected. The nurse that called just tried to leave me with everything was OK but I insisted on numbers and what they consider a normal range. I’m probably going to get some sort of note in my chart about that.
Prolactin – 8.55 mIU/I and they consuder 2-25 mIU/I to be normal
AMH – 2.87 ng/mL They consider 0.7-3.5 ng/mL normal and see the best results in women in the 2-4 ng/mL range. Anything over 3 ng/mL is indicative of P C O S. The doc was surprised that my level wasn’t higher. Maybe all the herbs, acupuncture, and meds that I’ve been taking for the past year has had some impact.
Rubella – good immunity indicating I’m current on my vaccination
CMV IgG – negative (I could have told them that, I was tested already)
Our potential KD S is having his sp erm analysis on Wednesday.
I still don’t know what to do about the spermcicles. We’re leaning towards saving them for R when we TTC with her. It seems silly to pay more to store them until that time that we paid for the 1 vial we have. That’s why we may end up using it for me before we start to try with S.
I’m on red alert. When it shows will determine if we try this cycle. My ta tas are like rocks and my stomach is upset. Thanks pr0metrium! Also, remind me of that when I’m poking the ladies in search of symptoms during the TWW. I feel crampy so it should be very soon. For the timing to work out CD1 needs to be today or tomorrow or hold off until at least Wednesday or Thursday.
