I am now the proud owner of sp e rm. It is the most money I have spent in one place in quite some time. We got the donor we wanted. He only had I U I vials left. We were hoping to try at home for a few months but we may have to jump in with both feet. Anyone out there ever used I U I vials for I V I? We may also try home I U I. I have at least a month and a half before we have to worry about that. I am still trying to find a doctor I’m comfortable with. I love my mid wife but they don’t do insems there. I don’t want to wait any longer than we already have.

Now…when do you think I should tell our families that our child will not be the same race as us?

Congratulations! Haha, I don’t think you need to tell them until they see the baby pictures or meet the little one for the first time. I like surprises though.

That’s my thought too. My dad is rather…hmmm…rural. Is that a nice way to put it? Picture muddy pick up truck and a small arsenal. He’s the one I’m really worried about. He wants a grandchild so badly that I don’t think it will really matter. I think not telling him will make it even easier for him to accept. If he knew earlier I think he would get himself all worked up about it.
